Crochet Owls! - Patterns

Craft owls are everywhere and I love them! Though I have already created a crochet owl pattern I decided to make 3 more different crochet owl patterns :)

Mini owl

I used a 3.75mm hook for the body

Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Round 3-6-   Single crochet for 4 rows

Round 6-   2 half double crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next 5 stitches, 2 half double crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next 5 stitches

Stuff

Pinch the sides together and sew closed(I used whip stitch to close)

Eyes(3.25mm hook)

Magic ring(6st)

Make 2, sew onto body

Sew on nose/beak and pupils

Keychain owl

I used a 3.75mm hook

Ch 4, slip stitch into the first chain to create a ring

Round 1-   Ch 3(counts as first double crochet), double crochet 11 times into the ring

Change color

Round 2-   2 Double crochet between each double crochet of the previous round for the row(24 double crochets in total)

Change color

Round 3-   Ch 1, Single crochet in the same stitch, half double crochet in the next stitch, double crochet in the next 2 stitches, half double crochet in the next, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, half double crochet, double crochet in the next 2 stitches, half double crochet, single crochet in the next 14 stitches, slip stitch in the next stitch

Round 4-   Ch 1, single crochet in the next stitch, Half double crochet(hdc), double crochet, hdc, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, hdc, double crochet, hdc, slip stitch in the next stitch, cut off yarn

Make 2, set aside

Eyes(3.25mm hook)

Magic ring(6st)

Slip stitch in the next stitch, cut off yarn

Make 2, sew onto one of the body pieces

Sew in beak and pupils(or use buttons)

Now sew both body pieces together, I used a whip stitch(Make sure to stuff before completely sewing it closed!)

Wings

Ch 5, slip stitch in the second chain from the hook, single crochet in the next stitch, hdc, 3 double crochet in the next stitch

Now working on the other side of the chain

Hdc in the next stitch, single crochet , slip stitch in the next 2 stitches

Little owl

 

I used a 3.75mm hook

Magic ring(6st)

2 single crochet in each st(12st)

2 single crochet in each st(24st)

Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row

Single crochet for 10 rows

Half double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, half double crochet, single crochet in the next 10 stitches, half double, 2 double crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, half double, single crochet in the next 10 stitches

Eyes

Magic ring(6st)

2 Single crochet in each st(12st)

Single crochet row

Sew in beak, fasten safety eyes, start stuffing

Using a yarn needle, I weaved the yarn to the closest side, and began sewing the top of the head closed.(I used a whip stitch to sew the top)

Wings

Ch 7

Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in the next 4 stitches, 3 single crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next 5 stitches,slip stitch in the next stitch

I made a fabric owl as well, but I'm not sure how I would go about making a pattern for it(I'm also way out of practice when it comes to sewing)

Crochet Panda Girl Doll- Pattern

  It's been a little while since I last posted. It's been quite a stressful time for me the past few months and I've been trying to figure out what I want to do.
  I've been working on a few different crochet and sewing projects. I made a pair of crochet slippers, but I always fail at slippers. I've tried several patterns for crochet slippers and every one of them has left me in discomfort, and now I've got a corner with unwanted slippers. I sincerely love the way crochet slippers look, but they pinch my feet :(. I keep thinking my feet must be extra sensitive, but I've stepped on a tack before without even feeling it, so???
  Anyway, I have a few patterns that I've finished and am currently working on a few different crochet as well as fabric owls patterns. But for today I wanted to post the pattern for my cute crochet panda girl doll, so here it is;

I used a 3.75mm hook

Head/body

Magic ring(6 St)

2 single crochet(Increase) into each st(12 st)

2 single crochet(Increase) into each st(24 st)

Single crochet in the next 3 st, 2 single crochet in the next(Inc), single crochet in the next 3 st, inc in the next, continue this for the row

Single crochet in the next 4 st, 2 single crochet in the next, single crochet in the next 4 st, inc in the next, continue for the row

Single crochet in the next 5 st, 2 single crochet in the next, single crochet in the next 5 st, inc in the next, continue for the row

Single crochet for 10 rows

Join yarn to begin other leg, Single crochet around for 2 rows(make sure that there are the same amount of stitches for each leg)

Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in every other stitch

Sew collar onto neck(to cover up color change)

Hat(4.25mm hook)

Ch 4, slip stitch in the first chain to create a ring

Ch 3(counts as first double crochet) double crochet 11 times in the center of the ring, slip stitch into the top of the ch 3 to join

Ch 3, double crochet in the same stitch, double crochet 2 times(increase) into every stitch for the row, slip stitch into the top of the ch 3 to join

Ch 3, double crochet in the next stitch, increase in the next, double crochet in the next stitch, increase, continue like this for the row

Ch 3. double crochet for the row, slip stitch into the top of the ch 3 to join

repeat 3 more times

Hair

I slipped stitched hair around the edge of the hat and sewed the hat on the head.

 I really like how my panda girl turned out :)

Crochet Totoro Amigurumi Pattern and Easter Basket

 I've been having fun the past few days making some Easter inspired crochet projects. I made a crochet Easter basket and a crochet Totoro amigurumi. I used this tutorial by Bobwilson123 to create the body of the basket but I used the handle made in this tutorial.
 Here is the pattern I created for the crochet Totoro;

I used a 4.25mm hook

Head/body

Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Round 3-   2 single crochet in each st(24st)

 

Round 4-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 5-   Single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 6-   Single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 7-14-   Single crochet for 8 rows

Round 15-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 16-25-   Single crochet for 10 rows

Leave for now

Eyes

Make 2, sew onto face, fasten safety eyes

Use a yarn needle to sew in the nose, and whiskers and mouth

Back to body(start stuffing gradually)

Round 26-29-   Single crochet for another 4 rows
