Easter project # 1: Crochet bunny girl doll- Pattern

   Easter is near and I thought I'd create a few Easter themed crochet patterns. I wanted to make a cute doll pattern that I could adjust for any theme/season, I decided to make the first doll a bunny girl with a cute bunny hat and a matching dress with a pom pom at the back for a tail :P.
   It turned out great, I just love it! I have two other Easter projects that I want to make, one is a crochet Totoro to go in my son's Easter basket, and the other is a little bunny keychain for which I already have the pattern(just need to find it and test it to make sure it's good!).
   Here is the pattern for my crochet bunny girl doll;

I used a 3.75mm hook

Head

Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet(Increase) into each st(12st)

Round 3-   2 single crochet into each st(24st)

Round 4-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(Increase), single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue this for the row

Round 5-   Single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next, continue for the row

Round 6-   Single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase in the next, continue for the row

Round 7-16-   Single crochet for 10 rows

Round 17-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 18-   Single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 19-   Decrease row(row of only decreases)

Start stuffing, fasten safety eyes

Round 20-22-   Single crochet for 3 rows

Round 23-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 24-   Single crochet row

Round 25-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row

Round 26-30-   Single crochet for 5 rows

Round 31-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 32-   Decrease row

Decrease another 2 times, slip stitch into the next stitch, sew closed, weave in tail

Legs

Ch 5, single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in the next 2 stitches, single crochet 3 times in the first chain

Now working on the other side of the chain, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, single crochet 2 times in the next stitch

Place a stitch marker to mark the beginning next round

Round 1-   Single crochet in each stitch

Round 2-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, decrease, single crochet in the next 4 stitches

Round 3-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, single crochet in the next 4 stitches, switch colors

Round 4-6-   Single crochet for 3 rows

Round 7-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, single crochet in the next 3 stitches

Round 8-   Single crochet for 2 rows

Round 9-12-   Single crochet for 4 rows

Round 13-   Single crochet, decrease, single crochet, decrease, single crochet, slip stitch into the next stitch

Make 2, sew onto body

Arms

Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-13-   Single crochet for 12 rows

Round 14-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, slip stitch in the next stitch

Make 2, sew onto body

Cheeks

Magic ring(6st), slip stitch in the next stitch

Make 2, sew onto cheeks

Hair

I cut pieces of yarn and glued them on with a glue gun. I'm not a fan of adding hair to my crochet projects because it's pretty tedious, so I haven't quite perfected to art of adding hair. Normally I would add hair by slip stitching it on to the head. But I decided to try gluing it on this time. I'll have to find a better way to do it in the future.

Dress

Chain 13

Round 1-   Chain 1, single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each stitch(12st)

Round 2-  Chain 1(counts as first stitch), turn, single crochet in the next stitch, chain 3-skip 2 stitches(arm hole)-single crochet in the next 4 stitches, chain 3-skip 2 stitches- single crochet in the next 2 stitches

Round 3-   Chain 1, turn, single crochet 3 times into the chain 3 space, single crochet in the next stitch, increase in the next 2 stitches, single crochet in the next, 3 single crochet in the chain 3 space, single crochet in the last stitch

Round 4-   Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch for the row

Round 5-   Chain 1, turn, increase in the first stitch, single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next 2 stitches, single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase

Round 6-   Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch

Round 7-   Chain 1, turn, increase in the next stitch, single crochet in the next 6 stitches, increase in the next 2 stitches, single crochet in the next 6 stitches, increase in the last stitch

Round 8-11-   Single crochet for 4 rows

Bring both ends together and slip stitch into the first stitch of the previous row

Round 12-   Chain 3, double crochet into each stitch, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Round 13-   Chain 3, 2 double crochet in the same stitch, 3 double crochet into every stitch for the row, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Place dress on doll, at this point the back part of the dress is open, now you can sew it closed.

 Make a small white pom pom for the tail, sew onto the back of the dress for the tail 

Hat (4.25mm hook)
Chain 4, slip stitch in the first chain to create a ring

Round 1-   Chain 3(counts as first double crochet) double crochet 11 times in the center of the ring, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Round 2-   Chain 3, double crochet in the same stitch, double crochet 2 times(increase) into every stitch for the row, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Round 3-   Chain 3, increase in the next stitch, double crochet in the next stitch, increase, continue like this for the row, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Round 4-   Chain 3, double crochet around for the row, slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 to join

Round 5-7-   Repeat round 4

Round 8-   Single crochet row

Ears

Part 1(brown)
