Crochet Monster Amigurumi 5- Pattern

   It's been a long day today, but I finished crochet monster amigurumi number 5! Only two more to go to round off the week. I think next week I'll work on my bear pattern as well as my comic book character patterns so that I can finally have them posted ;)
   So here it is, monster # 5: the caterpillar monster;

I used a 4.25mm hook, loops and threads yarn

Head
Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet in each st(12st)
Round 3-   2 single crochet in each st(24st)
Round 4-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row

Round 5-10-   Single crochet for 6 rows
Round 11-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 12-   Single crochet row

Round 13-   Single crochet in the next stitch, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, continue like this for the row
Leave for now

Eye
Magic ring(6st)

2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Sew onto head, fasten safety eye, slip stitch embroider mouth(sew teeth if desired)
Back to body
switch colors

Round 14-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase, continue like this for the row
Round 15-18-   Single crochet for 4 rows(I start stuffing at this point, and gradually stuff as I go)

Crochet Creepy Amigurumi Monster 4 - Pattern

  It's a beautiful Friday here, the spring weather has shied away and the cool winter air has come back in it's place.
  Yesterday was a long day and though I did make another crochet monster for my monster week, I did not get to write a blog. So here it is, monster number 4;
 
I used a 4.25mm hook

Head
Round 1- Magic ring(6st)

Round 2- 2 single crochet in each stitch(12st)

Round 3- 2 single crochet in each stitch(24st)

Round 4- Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row

Round 5- Single crochet in the next 4 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row
 
Round 6- Single crochet in the next 5 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 5 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row
Round 7-14- Single crochet for 8 rows
Round 15- Single crochet for 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet for 2 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row
Round 16-17- Single crochet for 2 rows
Round 18- Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet(increase) in the next, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row

Round 19- 20- Single crochet for 2 rows
Leave for now

Eyes
Magic ring(6st)

2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Make 2(I made one black and one white)

fasten safety eyes through the eyes and head, sew onto head
I slip stitch embroidered the mouth ;)

Back to body
Start stuffing

Round 21-22-   Single crochet for 2 rows

Round 23-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 24-   Single crochet in the back loops for the row

Round 25-   Decrease row

Round 26-   Decrease row

Slip stitch into the next stitch, sew closed, sew in tail

Crochet Amigurumi Monster Number 3

  It's Wednesday, the week's half done already! I've been working on sketches today for a children's book idea I have. It's been a while since I just sat down and drew something, it was really nice to do that.
   I crocheted a cute simple small monster today for my week of Monsters, his name is Spike ;). Kai is really loving this week!
   Here is the pattern(pardon the pictures, half were taken last night and half this morning, I don't have a very good camera...);

I used a 4.25mm hook

Head/Body
Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(12st)
Round 3-   2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(24st)
Round 4-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row
Round 5-   Single crochet in the next 4 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row

Round 6-10-   Single crochet for 5 rows
Round 11-   Single crochet in the next stitch, single crochet 2 together in the next(decrease), single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, continue like this for the row

Crochet Monster Amigurumi Number 2

  It's a deceptively beautiful day outside today, sunny and bright, but very cold. I am so thankful for the sun, I love crocheting next to a window letting in the sun.

  I've finished my second monster of the week. This one is inspired by the lovable green monster Mike Wazowski in the movies Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University. When I told Kai that I was going to make one monster a day this week, he knew of one monster I had to make.

 
I used a 4.25mm hook, any 4ply yarn is good

Head/Body
Round 1-   Magic ring(6st)

Round 2-   2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Round 3-   2 single crochet in each st(24st)
Round 4-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row.
Round 5-6-   Single crochet for 2 rows
Round 7-   Single crochet in the next 4 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next, continue like this for the row.

Round 8-13-   Single crochet for 6 rows

Round 14-   Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next 3 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row
Round 15-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next 2 stitches, decrease, continue like this for the row

Magic ring(6st) in black, change to green

2 single crochet in each stitch(12st), change to white

2 single crochet in each st(24)
sew eye onto head/body

Round 16-   Single crochet in the next stitch, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, continue like this for the row

Round 17-   Single crochet in the next stitch, single crochet 2 together(decrease), single crochet in the next stitch, decrease, continue like this for the row

Decrease 3 more times, slip stitch into the next stitch, sew closed and sew in tail

Legs
Round 1-   Chain 5, single crochet into the first chain to create a ring(make sure not to twist the chain)

Single crochet in every other stitch for the round(5st)

Round 2-11-   Single crochet for 10 more rows

Round 12-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, half double crochet in the next 3

Round 13-   Slip stitch into the next 2 stitches, half double crochet in the next 3(this create the heal)
Round 14-   Single crochet row

Round 15-   Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, 2 single crochet in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 2 stitches
Round 16-   Single crochet row

Round 17-   2 single crochet in each st(12st)

Make 3 toes, 4 stitches per toe

Single crochet around until desired length(I single crocheted for 2 rows), then slip stitch into the next stitch and sew closed, join yarn to begin the next toe and repeat.
 Make 2 legs, and sew onto body.
Arms
Round 1-   Ch 5, single crochet into the first chain to make a ring, and single crochet around(5 stitches)

Round 2-11-   Single crochet for 10 more rounds

Round 12-   Single crochet in the next stitch, 2 single crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch

Round 13-   2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(16st)

Make 4 fingers, 4 stitches per finger(just like the toes)

single crochet around until desired length(2 rows), then slip stitch into the next stitch and sew closed, join yarn to begin the next toe and repeat
Make 2, sew onto body
Horns(3.75mm hook) white yarn
Magic ring(6st)

Single crochet for 2 rows

Make 2, sew to head
