Anyway, it's midnight here in Charlottetown right now and I just finished my second brain slug, my son insisted on taking the first one I made(sans hairclip) with him to bed. So I'm quite tired and in need of sleep, so here's my crochet brain slug pattern ;)
I used a 4.25mm hook and Caron Simply Soft yarn(neon green)
Note: Remember to use a stitch marker, especially if you're new at working in the round, it will help you keep track of where the rounds start/end
Head/body
Round 1- Magic ring(6st)
Round 1- Magic ring(6st)
Round 2- 2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(12st)
Round 3- 2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(24st)
Round 4- Single crochet in the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet
in the next(increase), single crochet in the next 3 stitches,
increase in the next, continue like this for the row
Round 5-14- Single crochet for 10 rows, put aside for now
Eye
Magic ring(6st)
2 single crochet in each stitch for the row(12st)
put 12mm safety eye through the middle of the magic
ring(do not put on fastener yet)
Secure eye in desired spot and attach fastener
Sew to the body
Back
to body
Round 15- Single crochet in the back loops for the row(front loops
will be used later)
Round 16- Single crochet 2 together for the row(decrease row), start stuffing
Round 17- Decrease row, make sure the body is stuffed to your liking before continuing
Decrease 2 more times, slip stitch into the next stitch,
close up the hole and sew in the tail
Round 18- Join into one of the front loops of Round 15, Single
crochet in same stitch as join and in every other stitch, slip stitch
into first single crochet to join
Round 19- Chain 1, single crochet in the same stitch,
Skip 2 stitches-5 double crochet in the next stitch-skip 2
stitches-single crochet in the next-skip 2 stitches-5 double crochet
in the next stitch, continue like this for the row, slip stitch into
first single crochet, sew in tail(5 shells)
Antenna
(3.25mm
hook)Round 1- Magic ring(6st)
Round 2- Single
crochet for 2 rows
Round 3- Single
crochet in the 2 next stitches, single crochet 2 together in the
next(decrease), single crochet in the next 2 stitches
Round 4- 8- Single
crochet for 5 rows,
Now make another one, sew onto the head and you're done!!
